For this project, my assignment was to create a branding system for a fictional café in Los Alamos, NM based upon scientist, Max Planck: originator of quantum theory.

I began by researching both Planck and Los Alamos then compiled dozens of mood boards and sketches making sure to consider the psychology of color and dining.

Once I settled on a primary logo. I then began working on alternate versions for various layouts and uses in both print and web applications.

The Café Max typeface is an original design as well as my first attempt at creating a custom alphabet from scratch. I continue to tweak it and plan to eventually complete an entire font.

Though we did not complete a functional app, this was my first foray into designing UX/UI. 

This project was my largest scale assignment thus far. I loved every second of it!
